Pre Purchase Inspection “Pre Buy”
& aircraft acquisition consulting

• The term Pre Purchase Inspection or “Pre Buy” isn’t universally defined. In my experience, it is often done completely wrong, primarily in a hastily manner for piece of mind, and with no extended benefits, while costing absurd amounts. This is especially true for inspections done at generic maintenance shops that treat every airplane the same without allowing for type specific peculiarities. Frustrated by this situation, I decided to create a better, worry-free “no headaches” solution for fellow pilots to be able to purchase the best airplanes.
  
• I will discover and identify suitable aircraft subject to your specifications (PPI Phase A)
• To save costs, I initiate a thorough acquisition and review of digitally obtained aircraft documentation and visual materials (PPI Phase B)
• Next up is a physical general inspection and test flight to verify aircraft corresponds to the expectation obtained previously (PPI Phase C)
• This is followed by a very thorough on site mechanical inspection by a extremely experienced general aviation (EASA certified) mechanic who is also an owner pilot (PPI Phase D).
• Subsequently, any required or desired legal and/or authority procedures (re-registration, export, next annual inspections etc.) are outlined and a feasibility study is performed (PPI Phase E).
• If the combination of the phases above pass a satisfactory assessment, and any discovered deficiencies are rectified to your content, the execution of the purchase will be facilitated (Phase F “Final”).
• All Phases bookable individually as well. In other words, if you only require Phase D, this is possible too!
  
  Cost:
• Phases A, B & E: 69€/hour excl. VAT
• Phase C: 599€ excl. VAT (+ travel/expenses)
• Phase D: 1249€ excl. VAT (+ travel/expenses)
• Phase F: 399€ excl. VAT
• Expect a total sum of around ~4450€ excl VAT, travels and expenses for the successful purchase after sourcing and finding a great Single Engine Piston airplane for you.
